TASTING NOTE: A fantastic 2010 and up there with the brilliant '03 and '09, the 2010 Château Fortia Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée du Baron is dense, meaty, and shows fantastic southern Rhône character. Possessing copious black cherry and currant styled fruit, saddle leather, licorice, garrigue, and pepper on the nose, this medium to full-bodied red is very traditional and focused on the palate, with a pure, balanced feel, building richness, and a chewy, structured finish.
