Description
The Beaurepaire premier cru vineyard is found on the steep slopes at the southern end of the C�te de Beaune, bordering on the C�te Chalonnaise. Unlike most of the vineyards of the C�te d'Or, whose vines face south-east, the grapes planted in Beaurepaire enjoy a virtually direct-south-facing aspect, guaranteeing superb sun exposure providing them with excellent prospects for ripening. The result is that these wines tend to offer a more robust character. The vineyard produces both Pinot and Chardonnay, and the relatively large size of the vineyard allows for a wide range of style and interpretations. Look for a wine with a round and balanced feel that suggests peach and nuts with a hint of spice.
