Tasting Notes
This wine grows on vines that average 40 years old, with some ranging up to 80 years. It offers aromas and flavours of dark cherry, red table grape, blackberry jelly and a touch of smoke. The mouthfeel is soft yet there's still some youthful tannic chew on the finish. Drink through 2020 with grilled sausages, or grilled eggplant with garlic and rosemary. (Vintages panel, May 2017)
