Description
Sugar Loaf Wines was founded in 2004 by then-23-year-old Kate Acland and focuses on small-batch production and hands-on winemaking. Despite the winery's name, this PG is actually quite dry, offering exotic tropical fruit and honeysuckle suggestions. Lightly chill and sip, or pair with couscous salad or roast chicken.

Tasting Notes
It is fabulously fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose showing white fleshy stone fruit, poached pear, floral and subtle spice aromas, followed by a succulent palate that is fleshy and lingering. The wine offers lovely fruit purity and textural mouthfeel, finishing long and soothing. At its best: now to 2021. Score - 93. (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, March 2019)
