Tasting Notes
'Doolhof' means 'labyrinth' in the Afrikaans language, and this wine's name refers to the tale of Theseus and Medea in Greek mythology - not to Jennifer Connelly in the Jim Henson movie, as some children of the '80s may be led to believe. This Pinotage offers tangy red fruit with smoky coffee and mocha notes, with juicy acidity giving lift on the palate. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2015)
