The Chave family have been a part of the Rh�ne winemaking landscape since 1481, and this is one of their nego�iant wines. The wines of St. Joseph can be considered among the lightest in the northern Rh�ne, relatively speaking. The 2011 Offerus has not yet been reviewed, but the 2010 earned a rating of 91 points from James Molesworth of winespectactor.com (web only, 2013), and a similar quality can be expected from this vintage.

Tasting Notes
The 2018 Saint Joseph Offerus is similarly purple/ruby-hued and has a tighter, more mineral-driven style compared to the Crozes, which is exactly what you would expect between these two appellations. Beautiful blue fruits, violets, flowers, and wet granite-like notes give way to a medium-bodied, vibrant, nicely concentrated Saint Joseph that shines for its balance, purity, and length.
