In 2009 the IGP designation replaced the six regional Vins de Pays. Comté Tolosan, where this 100% Malbec was sourced, encompasses southwestern France and is centred around Toulouse.
Tasting Notes
From the Comté Tolosan IGP that includes all vineyards of Southwest France, this is classically styled Malbec at a very friendly price. Big plum, cherry fruit and oak wrapped in bright acidity and substantial yet elegant tannins make for a balanced, long-finishing, impactful wine. (VINTAGES panel, July 2014)
