Hitching Post wines are made by Buellton Hitching Post owner/chef Frank Ostini and his good friend Gray Hartley, a former fisherman. They began making wines for their own enjoyment in 1979, before producing wines exclusively for the Hitching Post Restaurant beginning in 1984. The Hometown is a blend of grapes sourced from three areas: Los Alamos, Santa Maria and the Santa Rita Hills. You will find this to be a youthful and floral Pinot that puts the emphasis on lithe, ripe red fruit. Enjoy with prime rib.

Tasting Notes
This wine was grown in vineyards in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. According to the winery, the 2016 vintage was particularly good for making balanced Pinot Noir. This one proves the point with its notions of dark cherry, dark chocolate, earth and spice and its lovely, delicate style. Savour it with roast beef and braised root vegetables.
