Description
Situated at an altitude of 360 metres above sea level, the El Crucero vineyard enjoys warm days and cool nights, a combination that encourages wines of great concentration and ripeness that still retain vibrancy and lift. This will be reflected here in this wine's dark fruit, spice, structure, clarity and depth of character. A good value, and a fine choice for stew or grilled lamb burgers.
Tasting Notes
Bright purple. Smoke-accented cherry and dark berries on the nose and palate. A juicy, taut midweight that shows good energy and clarity, finishing with gentle spiciness and good persistence. Score - 88. (Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, May 2012)
