The superb 2002 Mas del Camperol (30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Grenache, 25% Carignan, and 15% Syrah) is one of the candidates for wine of the vintage in Priorat. An intriguing, provocative perfume of flowers, raspberries, black currants, blueberries, and that wet steel/crushed rock component jumps from the glass of this medium to full-bodied wine. With sensational purity, real nobility, and a heady finish with no hard edges, it should drink well for 6-8 years, possibly longer. Score - 92. (Robert Parker Jr., erobertparker.com, June 2005)
