Description
Vino Nobile, like the wines of its neighbour Chianti, is made with the Sangiovese grape (locally called Prugnolo Gentile). The climate of Vino Nobile is a touch warmer, with heavier soils, which comes across in the slightly fuller, softer fruit and mouthfeel. This wine spent two years in oak, adding smoky notes to the cherry and plum aromas and flavours.
Tasting Notes
Very pleasant and full-bodied with generous dark fleshy fruit, dark spices and smoke. Superb craftsmanship in this D.O.C.G. wine. It finishes with smoke and dried herbs.
