Though this wine has not yet been reviewed by the international wine press, history is certainly on their side. This superb wine, noted for it's precision, balance and ageability, has consistently secured scores of between 90 and 94 points from the Wine Spectator, and scores of 92 to 95 points from Robert Parker's website. Such notable praise for this noted estate is not unique to wine critics, or even this century: Monzinger wines were praised by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1815.
Tasting Notes
Well-textured, with cherry and currant flavors that take on rich, creamy notes. The refreshing acidity and ripe gooseberry notes give this added complexity. Displays tarragon and honey on the finish. Drink now through 2038. Score - 93. (Kim Marcus, winespectator.com, April 30, 2013)
