Description
Montpeyroux was the summer residence of the bishops of Montpellier, which helped make this village's wines famous. It is one of a handful of communes within the Coteaux du Languedoc that is allowed its own geographical indication.
Tasting Notes
The nose is quite pretty, with cassis, cedar and bright floral aromas. Medium bodied but with plenty of oomph, it displays a sweet core of cherry and ripe cassis flavours with medium tannins and acidity providing lovely structure and leading to a fleshy finish.
